Position Responsibilities
Director – Finance & Administration ultimately responsible for the
systems, staff, and
business processes that enable company to operate the regional
business from a financial and administrative perspective.
Candidate will be charged with transforming regional administrative
team to significantly higher levels of capabilities, effectiveness,
and efficiency. Specifically, he/she will lead the definition and
achievement of regional financial goals; revamp capabilities in
financial planning, reporting and analysis; define, streamline, and
automate administrative activities; and interact with other members
of the EMEA Executive Leadership Team so that EMEA regional EVA™
(Economic Value Added) is maximized long-term for company.

EMEA region is responsible for subsidiaries in Austria, Czech
Republic, France, Germany, Netherlands, Spain, South Africa, Sweden,
Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. Branch offices are located in
Dubai, Russia, and India.
Professional Attributes
Ability to translate financial concepts/goals into operational
imperatives and actions; high planning and process management
orientation; positive hands-on management style; high attention to
details and execution.
Ability to work within matrix management structure on corporate
level (functional / managerial reporting relationships); ability to
work with geographically and culturally diverse subordinates on
regional level.
Qualifications
Significant (10-20) years of experience in the professional field;
minimum 5 years in managerial role. Prior employment with
publicly-listed companies and experience with USA/UK work culture an
advantage.
Solid
background in accounting and treasury, ideally in a manufacturing or
distribution environment. Prior direct responsibility of multiple
financial functions at operating unit level (i.e. production plant,
sales region, business area, subsidiary, etc.) required; experience
in multi-country financial results consolidation and tax-advantaged
structuring highly desired. Experience in financial analysis and
operating metrics monitoring systems also highly desired.
Direct working knowledge of enterprise software (i.e. SAP) systems
and financial management best practices expected; experience with
USA GAAP reporting and corporate compliance initiatives preferred.
Education
University degree in accounting, finance, economics, business, or
related required; advanced degree and/or professional certification
(e.g. CPA) an advantage.
Languages
English and German required; French beneficial
