Position:       Projects Manager - Marketing

Reports to:   Director of Marketing - Europe

Company:    Leading manufacturer of small engines power equipment. It designs manufactures, markets and services engines for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) worldwide as well as several power equipped products.

Location:      In region of Zurich, Switzerland

 

Position Summary

This newly created position combines product and project management skills with the ability to identify and follow-up on a wide variety of market opportunities. Reporting directly to the European Marketing Director, the Project Manager will be responsible for researching market opportunities and creating business/project plans. In addition the Project manager will work on a range of marketing projects to support the regional sales efforts. The job will create a vital link between marketing and sales, by taking concepts and opportunities to a point where go or no-go decisions can be taken to support real, actual and strategic deliverables. The Projects Manager will support the Consumer Engine, Commercial Engine and After Sales Business Units. Key to success will be the ability to “think out-of-the-box”, work independently and manage projects efficiently and to strict deadlines.

This position will require regular travel

·      Strategic and Analytical Thinking – Ability to analyze market data, pricing information, margin and costing information to determine proper strategies and plans

·      Interpersonal Skills - Will deal with people from a variety of nationalities and backgrounds. Establishing good relationships is a key to success

·      Creative Thinking - ability to think out of the box and link to overall strategic direction.

·      Communication Skills - communicates company strategies, targets and values efficiently to different levels of audience

·      Execution Excellence and Priority Setting - able to prioritize, work independently and to handle multiple projects at the same time

·      Project management - must bring strong organizational and project management skills.

·      Language Skills - fluency in English is essential. At least one primary language (German) is highly beneficial. Additional languages are a plus

 

 

Education Requirements:

·         Business or engineering degree or equivalent

 

 

Experience Requirements:

·         At least 5 years of product and/or marketing experience
